President's 2020 Holiday Message
Dear Delaware Valley HIMSS Community:
In coming to the end of what has been an objectively challenging year for all, it is all the more important to celebrate those moments and achievements that the year has brought. Those of us in Healthcare IT should be proud of the incredible accomplishments this year brought, from the explosion of telemedicine, analytics, and AI, to the expanded horizon of digital therapeutics. Yes, 2020 was challenging, but we’ve risen to the challenge in information technology.
For my part, I am both proud and thankful for the incredible work done within our chapter this year. Pivoting to a virtual platform for our events this year proved enormously successful. The annual DV/NJ chapter conference was well-received with each session topping 100 participants. Similarly, our new slate of virtual lunch and learns continues to grow in popularity (our latest session from December 9th had nearly 150 people register!) I can’t thank our sponsors and speakers enough for helping us put on such informative programming.
The coming year will no doubt offer new challenges as the country grapples with distribution of a COVID vaccine, an new administration and countless other changes big and small that will affect our lives. It is good to know we are part of a community in Healthcare IT that can take all these challenges head-on.
Wishing you all a joyous and safe holiday season,
